GETTING STARTED
SOMA is a physician-operated medical practice. Every treatment plan is developed under the oversight of Dr. Shari Wallace. That distinction matters. It means your care is grounded in clinical training, not just aesthetics training. We use medical-grade technology because it produces measurable results.
The best way to find out is a consultation. Most patients who come to SOMA are adults who want real results without surgery or significant downtime. We treat patients across a wide range of ages, body types, and goals. If you have a specific concern, there is likely a treatment path worth exploring.
Yes. SOMA serves all patients. Strength, skin health, and body composition are not gender-specific goals. All of our treatments are available to anyone who is a clinical candidate.
PRACTICAL QUESTIONS
You will meet with SOMA’s Medical Director, Dr. Shari Wallace, to talk about your goals, health history, and any concerns you have. We do not pressure you into booking treatments. The consultation is your time to ask questions, understand your options, and decide what feels right.
We hear this often. SOMA is physician-operated, which means clinical oversight is built into every step of your care. We start with your goals, not a menu. There is no pressure, no shame, and no protocol that was not designed with your actual outcomes in mind.
SOMA Skin & Sculpt is located on the second floor of ALL Therapy at 101 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. We are easy to reach from throughout Delaware and the Tri-State area. Book your consultation directly at somaskinandsculpt.janeapp.com
TREATMENTS & RESULTS
Yes. The technologies we use are FDA-cleared and backed by peer-reviewed clinical data. Emsculpt Neo has demonstrated 3x strength gains versus a sham group in functional mode and clinical studies show an average 30% reduction in subcutaneous fat in aesthetic mode. What sets our treatments apart is that they work at a cellular level, triggering your body’s own repair, regeneration, and remodeling processes to produce real, lasting change. These are not surface-level treatments.
The treatments we offer are FDA-cleared and have established safety profiles. Side effects are generally mild. Emsculpt Neo and Emface may cause temporary muscle soreness, similar to a workout. RF Microneedling can produce redness or minor swelling for 24 to 48 hours. Serious adverse events are rare. Because SOMA is physician-operated, every treatment is selected with your health history in mind. We do not offer a treatment we would not recommend with full clinical confidence.
Most SOMA treatments require no downtime. RF Microneedling may involve some redness for 24 to 48 hours. Most patients describe sessions as very tolerable. We adjust every session to your comfort level and will tell you exactly what to expect before you start.
GLP-1 & BODY CHANGES
Yes. Muscle loss and skin laxity are common after rapid weight loss and they are not talked about enough. Emsculpt Neo can help rebuild and preserve muscle. Exion RF Microneedling and Exion Body address skin tightening. For patients who have noticed changes in facial volume and skin laxity, Emface is a non-invasive option that lifts and tones without needles. We treat the whole picture without judgment about how you got here.
In many cases, yes. Emsculpt Neo used alongside GLP-1 treatment can help protect muscle while your body is losing fat and can target stubborn areas of localized fat that medication alone may not fully address. We review your full health picture during consultation and build a plan appropriate for where you are right now.
Start with a consultation at SOMA. We understand the body changes that come with GLP-1 treatment and have a specific approach for patients navigating this transition. You will leave with a clear picture of your options and a plan that makes sense for your body right now.
MIDLIFE & HORMONES
This is one of the most common things we hear. Changes in body composition, skin, strength, and energy in your 40s and 50s are real, and they are not just about effort. SOMA was built to support this phase. Our treatments address what diet and exercise alone cannot, and our physician-led model means your concerns are taken seriously from the start.
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is coming soon to SOMA. If this is a priority for you, mention it during your consultation and we will make sure you are among the first to know when it becomes available.
MUSCLE & BODY COMPOSITION
Because the number on the scale does not tell the full story. Muscle mass, fat distribution, and body composition are far better indicators of how you feel and function long term. Our goal is to help you get stronger, move better, and feel like yourself. Not just weigh less.
Yes. Muscle loss is one of the most significant and least talked about aspects of aging. It affects strength, metabolism, mobility, and how you feel day to day. Emsculpt Neo is one of the most effective tools we have for preserving and building muscle at any stage of life.
Yes. Emsculpt Neo induces muscle contractions that are not achievable through voluntary exercise, so it works the muscle differently than your training does, not instead of it. For active patients it optimizes and accelerates results. For those earlier in their fitness journey or rebuilding after weight loss, it helps build the foundation faster.
Yes. Emsculpt Neo addresses back pain in two ways. It strengthens the core muscles that support your spine, which improves stability and posture from the inside out. It is also FDA-cleared to treat the lower back directly, targeting the muscles of that region to reduce discomfort and improve function. For patients who have struggled to find relief through exercise or physical therapy alone, it is a meaningful option worth discussing.
Yes. Diastasis recti happens when the abdominal muscles separate, most commonly after pregnancy or significant weight changes. Emsculpt Neo directly strengthens those muscles and can make a real difference in both the separation and overall core function. Come in and we will take a look at what is going on and build a plan from there.
Yes. Crepey skin is a sign that collagen and elastin production has slowed down. RF Microneedling works at a cellular level to restart that process, improving texture and firmness over time, whether those changes came from aging, weight loss, or both.
